Today’s Scripture
2 Corinthians 1:20
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.
Reflection
Life has a way of placing questions before us that don’t always have immediate answers. There are moments when circumstances seem to contradict what we have prayed for, what we have hoped for, or even what we believe God has promised.
In those moments, it becomes tempting to place more confidence in what we can see than in what God has already said.
Faith invites us to live differently.
God’s promises are not based on changing circumstances. They are rooted in God’s unchanging character. What God has spoken remains true, even while our understanding is still growing.
This does not mean we will always understand God’s timing. It does not mean every question will immediately be answered. It means we have chosen where our confidence will rest.
When God speaks, faith responds:
“God said it. I believe it. That settles it.”
As we continue walking with God, something beautiful begins to happen. Trust becomes less about having every explanation and more about knowing the One who has been faithful every step of the way.
The longer I walk with God, and the more I allow God to walk with me, the more familiar God’s voice becomes, and the less dependent I become on having every answer or every explanation. Relationship begins to replace uncertainty, and confidence quietly grows where fear once lived. That is not blind faith. It is the fruit of walking with a faithful God.
Prayer
Faithful Father,
Thank You that Your promises are not changed by my circumstances or limited by my understanding.
There are moments when I want answers before I trust, certainty before I believe, and explanations before I move forward. Yet You continue to remind me that Your faithfulness has never depended on my ability to understand everything You are doing.
Teach me to rest confidently in what You have already spoken. Help me recognize Your voice more clearly as I continue walking with You. May my confidence grow, not because life becomes easier, but because my relationship with You becomes deeper.
When fear whispers questions, remind me of Your promises. When uncertainty clouds my vision, anchor my heart in Your unchanging truth.
Thank You that every promise You have made finds its fulfillment in Christ, and that I can confidently say:
“God said it. I believe it. That settles it.”
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Take a quiet moment. Listen without rushing. Let the words become part of your prayer.

2 Corinthians 1:20 – God Said It, I Believe It, That Settles It!
[Intro]
(Whispered)
God said it… I believe it… yeah…
[Verse 1]
Every step, every breath, in the fire and the fight
When the storm clouds rise, I stand in His light
No fear, no doubt, He’s my firm foundation
His Word is true, my heart’s declaration
[Pre-Chorus]
I don’t need the world to agree
His promise alone is enough for me
[Chorus]
God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!
His Word will stand, I won’t ever quit
Faith in motion, my heart won’t split
God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!
[Verse 2]
Pressing on through the sweat and the strain
His strength lifts me again and again
I run this race with my eyes on Him
Victory’s mine, let the praise begin!
[Bridge: Call and Response]
CALL: Who’s the Rock that never shakes?
RESPONSE: God alone, He never breaks!
CALL: Whose Word will never fail or fall?
RESPONSE: Jesus Christ, the Lord of all!
[Final Chorus]
God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!
His Word will stand, I won’t ever quit
Faith in motion, my heart won’t split
God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!
[Outro]
(Chant, fading out)
God said it!
I believe it!
That settles it!
Faith sees tomorrow because hope believes today.
