Today’s Scripture
2 Corinthians 1:3–4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Reflection
Pain has a way of making us feel alone. Whether it’s the loss of someone we love, the weight of disappointment, a season of uncertainty, or a burden no one else can see, suffering often whispers that no one understands.
Yet Scripture introduces us to the God of all comfort—the One who meets us in our deepest need, not always by removing the struggle, but by walking with us through it. God’s comfort is more than a feeling. It is God’s presence, God’s peace, and God’s promise that we are never alone.
As healing begins, something remarkable happens. The comfort we receive is no longer ours alone. God gently transforms our wounds into compassion, our tears into understanding, and our experiences into a source of hope for someone else. Often, the person best equipped to encourage another is someone who has walked a similar road.
Whatever burden you may be carrying today, remember this: God sees you, walks beside you, and can use even your deepest pain to bring hope and comfort to others.
Prayer
Loving God,
Thank You for being the God of all comfort. Thank You for meeting me in my struggles, surrounding me with Your presence, and reminding me that I never walk alone.
Bring peace where my heart is restless. Bring hope where I feel discouraged. Bring healing where I still carry pain.
And when the time is right, help me share the comfort You have given me with someone who needs it. May my story become a testimony of Your grace and compassion.
